Privacy Policy

Effective September 15, 2026

NoteCleaner ("we," "us") builds NoteCleaner: Humanize AI. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, why, and how long we keep it. We built NoteCleaner to need as little of your data as possible — there's no sign-up, no email address, and no advertising in the app.

What We Collect

Text you submit to humanize is sent to our servers over an encrypted connection so it can be rewritten. We do not store that text — once a result is generated, only a word count is recorded against your plan's allowance. A finished result is cached on our servers for up to one hour, solely so that retrying a failed request doesn't charge you twice, and is then permanently deleted.

Your account has no email address or password. It's created automatically and identified only by an anonymous ID tied to your device's App Store purchase record (Apple's "AppTransaction"); we never see your Apple ID, name, or email. Against that anonymous ID we keep your subscription plan, renewal date, and word-usage counts.

Every draft you're writing and every result you've ever generated (your History) is stored only on your device — it is never uploaded to us, synced, or backed up to our servers. Deleting the app deletes it.

We automatically collect basic diagnostic information — device model, OS version, app version, and language — to keep the service compatible and to debug problems. This is not linked to your identity.

If you use Report a Problem, we receive the description you write, the basic diagnostics shown on that screen, and — only if you choose to attach one — a screenshot you've reviewed beforehand. If you use Contact Support, we receive the name, email address, and message you enter, and use them only to reply to you.

Plan and Word-Usage Records

Your plan gives you a number of words to humanize — your credits. What each plan includes, and how words are counted, charged, renewed, and ended, is set out in our Terms of Service. To give you those words and keep your balance accurate, we keep these records against your account (your anonymous app account, or your web account):

  • Your plan, whether you're in a free trial or a paid period, your billing period dates, and whether your subscription is renewing, cancelled, in a billing grace period, or refunded — as reported to us by Apple, or by Paddle on the web.
  • The words included in your current period, how many you've used or have reserved for a request in progress, any extra words added to your account, and your lifetime totals of requests and words.
  • For each humanize request: its word count, when it was made, whether its words were charged or returned because the request failed, and the anonymous install ID (in the app) and IP address it came from. The text you submit is never part of these records.

We use these records only to show your remaining words and renewal date, apply your plan, stop allowances being misused (for example, one plan used from many devices), and answer questions you send us about your balance.

How We Use It

We use the information above to operate NoteCleaner: generate your humanized text, enforce your plan's word allowance, keep your subscription in sync with the App Store, and respond to problems you report. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with data brokers.

Who We Share It With

We share information only with the service providers that help run NoteCleaner, each bound to use it solely to provide their service:

  • A third-party AI writing partner, which receives the text you submit for the sole purpose of generating your rewritten result.
  • RevenueCat, which manages subscription purchases and receives your anonymous account ID plus purchase and entitlement data.
  • Apple, which processes all payments through the App Store and provides the signed purchase records we use to grant your plan.
  • PostHog and Google Analytics for Firebase, which receive anonymous usage events (screens opened, features used, word counts, error codes) so we can see what works and what breaks — never the text you submit or receive.
  • If you allow tracking when iOS asks, Google Analytics for Firebase also receives your device's advertising identifier so we can measure which ads bring people to NoteCleaner. Decline and everything works the same; you can change your answer any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or the public. If NoteCleaner is ever acquired or merged, any information we hold would transfer as part of that transaction, and we'd tell you first.

How Long We Keep It

  • The text you submit: deleted immediately after your result is generated, or after at most one hour if a request is retried.
  • Plan and word-usage records, including the record of each request: kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Drafts and History: kept on your device until you clear them (Settings → Clear History) or delete the app — we never see this data.
  • Report a Problem and Contact Support submissions: kept only as long as needed to resolve the issue.

How We Protect It

All requests to our servers are encrypted in transit. Your session is stored in the device's Keychain, and drafts and History are written to the device's encrypted storage with file protection enabled — both unreadable without your device passcode. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we don't hold more than we need, so there's less at risk.

Your Choices and Rights

Because NoteCleaner doesn't collect a name, email, or password, most of what you'd normally ask us to access, correct, or export already lives entirely on your device, under your control:

  • Clear everything saved on this device any time from Settings → Clear History.
  • Delete the app to remove all local drafts and History immediately.
  • Ask us to delete your anonymous account and its usage data by reaching out through Settings → Report a Problem, or by email at contact@heytech.work.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or the CCPA to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of any personal data we hold, and to object to or restrict how we use it. We honor these requests the same way for every user, everywhere, through the contact methods above.

NoteCleaner on the Web

This section covers the web version at app.gruppyai.app. Everything above about the text you submit applies there too: it is not stored, and a finished result is cached for at most one hour. Where the web version differs from the app:

  • Account. The web version needs an account identified by your email address. You prove it's yours with a one-time code we email you, or with Google if you choose "Continue with Google" — in that case Google also shares your name and profile photo, which we show only on your account page. We never receive your Google password.
  • Cookie. One strictly necessary cookie keeps you signed in. It holds a random session token, cannot be read by scripts, and is not used for advertising or tracking.
  • History. Your web History is saved only in your own browser's storage, on the device you used. It is never uploaded to us; clearing your History or your browser's site data removes it.
  • Security records. For each sign-in we record the time, IP address, browser type and approximate country (looked up from the IP address through an IP geolocation service), to protect accounts and stop abuse of the service.
  • Payments. Web subscriptions are sold through Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details and billing address directly and handles payments, taxes, invoices and refunds under its own privacy policy. From Paddle we receive your subscription plan, status and billing dates, a Paddle customer ID and your email address — never your full card details.
  • Service providers. Besides the AI writing partner described above, the web version relies on Google (only if you sign in with Google), an email delivery provider that sends your sign-in codes, and Paddle. The web version does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
  • Retention and deletion. Sign-in codes are deleted within 24 hours. Your email address, plan and word usage are kept for as long as your account exists. To delete your web account, email contact@heytech.work from the address you sign in with; an active subscription should be cancelled first from Plans & billing → Manage billing.

Children's Privacy

NoteCleaner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the app and shared information with us, contact us and we'll remove it.

International Use

NoteCleaner is used worldwide, and the servers and service providers that process your information may be located in a different country than you are. Wherever it's processed, we apply the protections described in this policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the effective date above; changes that materially affect how we handle your data will also be called out in the app's release notes.

Contact Us

Questions about this policy, or a request about your data? Email contact@heytech.work, or reach us from the app through Settings → Report a Problem or Settings → Contact Support — both go straight to the team that maintains NoteCleaner.
